This makes them suitable as access control for smaller private places for a specific number of people but not for public places with a large group of people.

Working via a sophisticated access control software that manages the database, a suitable reader can read the credentials and verify authorisation to either grant or deny access. This is done through an automatic and almost instantaneous process. As these are access controls that can be individually deactivated it makes them ideal for access control for larger spaces.
