R&D teams. Cenmetrix was a pioneer in deploying biometric solutions in Sri Lanka at its inception in

face recognition, iris recognition, as well as advanced solutions in NFC and RFID technology. The
company is the exclusive distributor for leading brands such as Suprema (biometrics), Alien Technology
(RFID), Nedap (long-range identification), Skidata (parking systems) and Samsung SDS (smart homes).
Recognizing the challenges faced by its clients to manage human resources and talent in addition to
assets and infrastructure, Cenmetrix expanded its software solutions to offer cloud-based human
resource management since 2014, under its subsidiary Cemex Software Pvt Ltd. Cenmetrix is also
evaluating GPS, robotics, and blockchain-based solutions as it seeks to enable its clients to continue to
provide transparency, visibility and accountability into their operations and related supply chains.
With over 750 clients and 7,500+ installations in the US and Asia, Cenmetrix has developed a stellar
reputation among its clients across government agencies, MNCs, large corporates and SMEs for
providing turnkey solutions from system study to the final implementation and post support services.
The company is expanding its presence in the USA with a newly established office and strong JV partners
and is also seeking to grow in regional markets.
Cenmetrix started off as a subsidiary of Cenango LLC USA / Sri Lanka. Cenango LLC was established in Florida, USA in 2001, and went on to open an office in Sri Lanka in 2003/04. Cenmetrix operated under the name of Cenango (Pvt) Ltd until the end of 2005, at which point Cenmetrix was formed as a separate department. Cenmetrix became Sri Lanka's first total biometrics solutions provider, focusing primarily on biometric technology and related solutions. Cenmetrix has been developing biometric fingerprint technology and software for the US and Australian markets since 2003. With the increase in popularity of biometric solutions commercially, the management decided to introduce this technology to Sri Lanka. In January of 2005, Cenmetrix completed its first biometric hardware installation in Sri Lanka. As biometric technology was still a new phenomenon to the world market, penetrating the Sri Lankan market took time. The first few years in business brought in only a handful of corporate clients. With the demand for biometric technology rapidly rising in recent times, together with its superior quality of service, Cenmetrix now has over 750+ clients and have done over 7,500+ hardware and software installations. With the success of this venture, Cenmetrix (Pvt) Ltd was incorporated as separate company in 2010.
